Payments to confirm
When a deposit lands that looks like payment for an invoice (it names the customer and the amount fits one invoice, several invoices, or part of the oldest), Nani suggests the match. Nothing is recorded until you Confirm. Confirming marks the invoice paid and books the deposit as sales from that customer. Not this hides that pairing.
- Details on an invoice lists its payments, with Remove for each. If confirming a deposit booked it as sales, removing that payment takes the booking back too, so the deposit needs a category again.
- Record a payment is for cash, a check deposited with others, or a payment after fees.
- Write off (it will never be paid) and Void (sent by mistake) change nothing in your books, because unpaid invoices were never income. Reopen undoes either.
